On August 25th, we have a practical, productive New Moon in Virgo at 2 degrees.

New Moons are always opportunities to start fresh and Virgo rules anything to do with your health, your daily routines, your work and service to others.

What do you need to clean out in your life? Is it your body? Do you need to go on a healthy diet? Is it your surroundings? Are you repeatedly going to a desk drawer and getting frustrated because you cannot find what you're looking for easily?

Virgo, as an earth sign, needs to be productive and to see practical results for its work. This is a great New Moon for tying up loose ends and for completing something you've already started.

Find ways in which you can feel more connected with the earth. For example, plant some herbs, do some gardening, enjoy a walk in the forest or by the sea.

Virgo also rules pets and small animals, so this is a good time to adopt a pet or to do something connected with animals.

As Virgo rules service to others, ask yourself how you can contribute to other people without expecting any recognition or acknowledgement in return. Resolve to do a simple act of kindness every single day. You'll be astonished at how it will improve your mood.

Our society keeps telling us that we need to save up and buy a house, a new car, more clothes, more, more, more... but what do you really need to be happy? Virgo is about simplifying your life. Look at what feeds your soul, what deeply nourishes you rather than something that may bring you short-term pleasure but ultimately leaves you feeling empty.

Virgo is a mutable sign which means that it is adaptable and open to change. Use this energy to change the things in your life that are no longer working for you. Make a list (because Virgo loves lists!), and cross off at least one item every day so that you can feel you are making progress.

Good questions to ask yourself:

Which areas of my life need cleaning up?

How can I be more productive?

What can I do to uplift someone else?
