The Sun Sign Survey

For more than a year of having the Sun Sign Survey going, it is now closed.
All votes as of October 2, 1997 are counted and the results are here.

We adopted Sunshine two months ago and added this question to our survey : "What is Sunshine's sun sign?" I promised that the winners of the correct guess would get Weasel, even though he hadn't yet made an appearance. So, for all who are anxiously awaiting Weasel's debut, he's finally here. And, Sunshine's sun sign is revealed, too.

Please no boos and hisses. Sunshine is an Aquarius! The moment I laid eyes on him, I just knew he had to be an Aquarius.
This is the order that your good guesses came in:

Leo : Sunshine's name prompted most of you to guess he was a Leo. But no Leo would be caught in public with crossed eyes. They want to clearly see all their many admirers.
Sagittarius : Another good guess, but Sag's tend to have a dip in their smile somewhere, especially noticeable after age 40. I don't know how old Sunshine is, but stars are usually lots older than any of us.
Aquarius : What other sign is at their height of genius when looking completely bewildered. Something brilliant is brewing when Waterbearers get this look. Too bad Aquarian Farrah Fawcett didn't have more air time with Leno the night she appeared so goofy to the world. Add a little more hair and you've got a Mozart.
Gemini : If Sunshine had a twin, maybe he'd be smiling like that. But he doesn't. I would have mentioned it.
Too Goofy to have a sun sign : Aquarians might think so. I'm sure they'd prefer having an alien sign to call themselves.
Aries, Taurus, Cancer, Scorpio : Tied : Pretty obvious that these signs don't fit.
Libra, Pisces : Tied : Libra wouldn't be smiling while his star rays were crooked. And Sunshine certainly isn't wispful enough to be a Pisces.
Capricorn : All the Capricorns I know smile as much as the rest of us, even when life's cup is empty, but I kinda think it's more of a sardonic "stiff upper lip."
Virgo : Could be a nervous Virgo smile on Sunshine. I'm surprised Virgo didn't get a bit higher on the guess list, but it was a distant last guess with only one vote.

Here's Weasel. He's a little sleepy, but he got here on time...barely.
