Medical Astrology - Methods and Techniques
By Dusko Savic
Definition of Medical Astrology
Medical astrology is a branch of astrology that deals with the health and diseases of a client who has a horoscope. Astrologers usually come to classes at major turning points in life, such as "Should I change jobs", "What will happen to my father's lawsuit" and the like. You come to a medical astrologer when the disease has already progressed, an operation has often taken place, the client has a long history of relationships with doctors ...
The usual questions asked to a medical astrologer are: "Should I go for surgery?","Why don't we have children?","Do I have cancer?","Will cancer pass this year?" etc. If it is established that the events in the history of the disease coincide with certain astrological configurations, then we can find the cause of the disease, the prognosis of the course and duration of the disease, possibly determine the therapy, etc. There is also the opposite situation, that the client comes for ordinary things, and that the medical astrologer sees the danger in the horoscope long before the disease manifests and materializes.
Much is expected from the advice of a medical astrologer. Whether there will be surgeries or not, whether there will be chemotherapy or not, radiotherapy or not. "I have an appointment for radiation on Wednesday, should I go or not?", "The doctor recommended that my bladder be removed to prevent further spread of the cancer, should I do it or not?" Medical astrology is the most cruel branch of astrology. If you can't stand the encounter with severe, terminal pathologies, if you don't want to take responsibility for the consequences of your advice - it's better not to deal with it. If you are not a doctor by profession, you will have to prepare well and educate yourself by reading extensive medical literature, through consultation with someone who is a doctor, gathering information from the Internet.
Treatment problems are drastically different from what an astrologer does during a session with a client. Astrologers give advice, and clients accept it as advice to change their lifestyle. Sometimes a medical astrologer will be quite specific and will suggest wearing certain crystals, colors, aromatherapy, the use of homeopathic medicines, etc. All that still remains at the level of information, because the professions of medical astrologer and doctor must not interfere. A medical astrologer does not treat, a client is not a patient, unless a medical astrologer is also a doctor, or possibly a homeopath; nor is the medical astrologer a healer:
The medical astrologer reaches for all the astrological techniques and methods from which something can be deduced about the nature of the disease. He must, above all, be a competent astrologer, know a wide range of astrological techniques and apply them to the well-being of clients and their health. Since he gives advice on treatment but does not treat himself, he should also be connected with doctors and healers, know their horoscopes and analyze comparative horoscopes to decide who the patient should see next. The type of therapy can be determined similarly, e.g. homeopathy, Bach flower drops, vibropathy, massage, standard medicine, etc.
Signs
The signs represent the twelve great systems in the human body, from Aries, which symbolizes the head, to Pisces, which symbolizes the feet. The signs of the planets, whether at birth or otherwise, will be prominently displayed throughout life, and are likely sources of disease. A separate tissue salt is attached to each sign. These are building blocks for the human body, substances whose combination builds tissues, organs, organ systems and, finally, the whole body. The use of these salts individually or in combination, in material or homeopathic doses can significantly improve health. Quite similarly, each sign is associated with a certain type of diet. A medical astrologer will give qualified advice on nutrition, and thus significantly improve the client's health.
Horoscope Degrees in Astro Medicine
Each sign has thirty degrees, and empirical research has concluded that each degree governs one part of the body. The planet at that level gives a predisposition for the disease - the degree tells which part of the body it is, the planet says what kind of disease it is. Similarly, midpoints and degrees can be connected. Planets, Asteroids and Uranian Planets in Astro Medicine
Planets are sources of energy in the horoscope, and each has a characteristic meaning. For example, the nature of Mars is fiery, it ignites fires in the body (which gives the temperature) and thus purifies it. Neptune represents medicines known to medicine, Pluto - unknown, etc. Asteroids have a similar effect, especially the larger ones - Ceres, Juno and the like. In medical astrology, uranium planets are also used with great success, ie uranium astrology, which deals with eight "uranium" planets. These are planets that have not been astronomically observed so far, but their effect is very much felt in the horoscope. Some of these planets have a distinct medical significance, so with them the success in astrological diagnostics is increased by up to 90%.
Houses in Astro Medicine
Of the twelve houses practiced by ordinary astrology, in medical astrology we deal specifically with the following five:
the first house is the body,
sixth house - diseases.
eighth house - support of others, sex, death, karma.
twelfth house - hospital treatment and isolation.
the fourth house - the house of hereditary and genetic diseases.
However, each house has a narrower medical meaning:
first - consciousness, brain injuries, brain tumors, etc.;
others - blood, electrolytes, hormones, food intake, pituitary gland, diabetes;
third - lungs;
fourth - diet, food intake, mother, etc.;
fifth - heart, myocardial infarction;
sixth - diseases, genetic disorders;
seventh - death first of the brain and then of the rest of the body;
eighth - excretion of processed substances, kidneys, pituitary gland, adrenal gland, endocrine glands;
ninth - the upper part of the brain, cerebral hemisphere, Jupiter rules the left, Neptune rules the right hemisphere;
tenth - general picture of the organism, metabolism;
eleventh - circulation, hemorrhage;
twelfth - autoimmune diseases, thymus, immunity in general, liver.
The ruler of the house is the main indicator of the events in the house, and the planets play a secondary role in it. For example, to see what diseases someone will suffer from, we would look at the sixth house and its ruler, its position, aspects and transits. Only if something significant and long-lasting happened to the ruler could we predict the existence of the disease.
Aspects of the Planet
How the planet will manifest depends primarily on its relationship with other planets, ie. from the angles that the two planets coincide with the center of the circle. Each aspect brings its own type of disease, e.g. The Sun and Saturn in combination slow down the metabolism, while the Sun and Mars encourage a person to expend and - accordingly - give athletes. The 150 degree (inconjunction) aspect is especially malignant - if it is correct between two planets in the horoscope, a person will face all sorts of troubles of a medical nature. The worst effects are produced by the bad aspects of malefics on the Moon. Squares are especially bad, so the square of Saturn on the Moon gives a predisposition to cancer, but the squares of Neptune and Pluto on the Moon can have the same effect. And here it is true that the bad aspects produce action, so special attention is paid to the bad aspects, because they bring disease. However, one should always look at where the good aspects are, because they bring relief, and often healing, sometimes in the form of medicines, sometimes in the form of people who fit the description (eg trine with Neptune - healing is brought by a pharmacist, etc.).
Focal Points in Astro Medicine
Each planet is in the arithmetic mean of some other two planets, which is interpreted as their common conjunction. There is a separate interpretation for each midpoint, e.g. the midpoint of Jupiter and Saturn refers to the liver, and Mars and Saturn to death. The midpoints individualize the horoscope to the maximum and without them there is no effective medical astrology. Even greater precision is achieved if the Uranus planets and their midpoints are included, especially in combination with a progressed horoscope.
Medical Aphorisms
Medical aphorisms are typical configurations for individual diseases. For example, Mars in the 29th degree of Scorpio near the Ascendant gives a predisposition for bronchitis, but it also gives any squared malefic in Gemini, just like Saturn on the Ascendant in the double sign, etc. A medical astrologer must be well acquainted with such configurations and be able to recognize them immediately in the horoscope. However, clients will forgive you if you take out the manual in the middle of the session and look at some configuration, only if it will help them heal!
An alternative is to have a computer astrological program that calculates such configurations. More precisely, without such a program, it is difficult to deal with medical astrology, because there are dozens and hundreds of configurations! On the other hand, you cannot be considered a medical astrologer if you cannot construct a configuration that suits his health problem on the spot, in front of the client. So even if you have such a program, you still need to know medical astrology!
Diagnosis of Diseases Based on the Natal Horoscope
Literally in every horoscope you will find a dozen such configurations, in some and many more. This does not mean that someone will be sick based on all existing configurations, nor that he will be sick of all this at the same time, nor that he must be sick of everything that the horoscope shows during his life. Each configuration should be understood only as a predisposition for the disease, and in order for the disease to manifest, it is necessary for three predispositions to be active at the same time. For example, whoever has the square of Saturn and the Moon natally will have the first predisposition to cancer. The second predisposition can be seen through a progressive horoscope, where the Moon squares with Saturn every seven years, and the third can be in the annual horoscope, in which there can be e.g. inconjunction of the Moon and Saturn. Only then it makes sense to warn of cancer, that is, only if a certain predisposition appears at the same time as the first two, the disease will manifest itself.
Sometimes the same predisposition will occur based on different configurations. For example, if there is a square of Uranus on the Ascendant and a square of Pluto on the Ascendant, the "operation" configuration will appear twice. Therefore, it is more likely that an operation will occur during life, e.g. when Mars amplifies any of these configurations, or is found in the annual horoscope at the midpoint of Uranus and Pluto.
Diagnosis of Diseases based on Transit, Progression, Annual and Comparative Horoscopes
Unlike ordinary astrology, in which everything comes down to the analysis and synthesis of the natal horoscope, many other types of horoscopes are routinely used in medical astrology. The basic idea is that it takes three configurations for the disease to appear, and it doesn't matter which horoscope it is in. The long transits of bad planets produce diseases very strongly, and in the medium term, the situation is best seen from a progressive horoscope. You should always look at the annual horoscopes, because they show strong accents that do not have to last long, but whose consequences can be felt for a long time, sometimes for the rest of your life.
Also, it doesn't matter who you live with. People with whom they live transfer their energy and - sometimes they heal, and sometimes they help or promote the disease. The same goes for the country in which one lives.
Auxiliary Methods in Medical Astrology
Arabic points are formed as the sum of two significant points from which the third significant point is subtracted. There are about 500 such spots, and some are directly related to health. The most famous is Fortuna, which combines the influences of the Sun, Moon and Ascendant. Each house has several points e.g. the sixth house has the following points: the point of incurable diseases, accidents and vices (Ascendant + Mars - Saturn), the point of curable diseases (Asc + Mars - Mercury), the point of servant, the point of prisoners and the vanquished. As we can see, two are important for medical astrology and two are not. In contrast, the seventh house has sixteen points, the eighth five, and so on.
Often a lot of information can be obtained by the methods of horary astrology , in which a horoscope is made for the moment of asking questions about the disease. Interpretations of horary horoscopes are different from interpretations of natal and all other horoscopes, so do not use this technique if you do not have such knowledge. But it pays to learn horary astrology, because it provides insight into the current situation, precisely determines the course of the disease, possible deaths, etc.
The decumbent map is a map of the onset of the disease. It can be done if you know exactly when the disease started. They are also interpreted according to special rules.
Election astrology tries to answer the question of when to start an action. For the needs of medical astrology, it would be determined when it is most appropriate to start the therapy we have prescribed, when the doctor should go to the patient and the like.
The Place of Medical Astrology in Healing
Modern medicine knows a lot about the patient's condition at the time of measurement, and statistically knows whether the prognosis of the disease is good or not. However, she does not deal with the patient's real future, and usually reacts when something bad already happens. Medical astrology is the missing link between the patient's recorded condition, his current therapy, and the future development of the disease. Since an astrological prognosis of the course of the disease can be given in advance, something can be done in advance to alleviate the disease or eliminate it as much as possible, especially since astrohomeopathy naturally continues in medical astrology - prescribing energy drugs that "consume" the planet's bad energy and thus contributing to healing.
