p>Do you accept the theory of reincarnation? If so, you're not alone. The concept is commonly associated with Taoism, Hinduism, and Buddhism, but the history is much more widespread than that. It was part of the religions and beliefs of Greece, India, and Egypt.

The Greek mathematician and philosopher Pythagoras taught that the soul survived after death of the body. The Greek philosophers Plato and Socrates believed in reincarnation. Other famous people who believed in reincarnation include Leonardo da Vinci, Edgar Allan Poe, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Henry David Thoreau, and Benjamin Franklin.
